The Lord WILL Work Miracles Through Us!

¡Hola!

This week we've had a bit of trouble getting references and new investigators, but I know that there are prepared people out there and we just need to find them! Elder Ibarra and I are going to talk and ask for references from everyone. We really haven't tried knocking on doors close to contacts yet, but we're going to start.

With the investigators we have, we need to help them get to church, stop smoking and drinking coffee, and read, meditate, and pray about The Book of Mormon in order to know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and the ONLY true church has been restored. We know we just need to keep having faith and trusting in Him completely, being exactly obedient, and working hard in order for the Lord to work miracles through us.

It's Time To Get To Work!

¡Hola!

So, I had changes! Now I'm back in San Miguel, but in a different area and zone. My new companion is Elder Ibarra from México and we're in Rio Grande II in the Rio Grande Zone.  I'm grateful that I've been able to serve in Santiago de María. I was able to learn a lot there. I'm grateful that I've been able to change my attitude and increase my faith. Elder Frey and I did a lot of things wrong last change, but I know that as President Glazier always says in every change meeting: "It doesn't matter so much about the change in area or companion, but the change that occurs in yourself." Since the change meeting Elder Ibarra and I have worked hard and I've been exhausted at the end of each day and almost fallen asleep during planning. Last change only one investigator came to church in Rio Grande, but yesterday Elder Ibarra and I were able to have four! I know that as we pray with unshakable faith and work hard to obtain the blessings that we've asked, we will find those that He is preparing. What I've learned about faith from a talk from President Eyring is that faith isn't just believing that Heavenly Father can do things, it's having complete 100% trust that if we do what He commands us to do, He WILL hold true to His promises and do what He promises to do in His own time! It's time to get to work!

Unshakable Faith And Exact Obedience....Will Bring To Pass Miracles!

¡Hola!

The Multi-Zone we had this week was great! We talked about how unshakable faith and exact obedience will bring us power and prosperity in our work and area. We also talked about how we need to do things differently to obtain different results. I know that we are the ones who need to change things in ourselves and our area and that as we do, we'll bring to pass miracles!I thought about D&C 123:17, "Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed." I know that I can do this and that I just need to trust in Him more and work harder.
