Giving HIM My All!

¡Hola!

This week we had interviews with Presidente Vasquez and it was great being able to talk about how we can better achieve our potential. My companion and I were able to talk between ourselves and with Presidente Vasquez and start to change things that we needed to improve. Things are starting to change little by little and as we continue we'll be able to reach our potential.

Yesterday, we had a stake meeting for our ward councils with Presidente Vasquez on how we can better work together in order to hasten the work. He talked about how we can work together to achieve the goals we set, not just as missionaries, but together as a ward council. We'll really be able to achieve great things if we finally start to work together instead of us doing most of it.

I'm going to be in the 4th quarter of my mission and just like my football coaches always said, I need to work even harder and give my 110%! I know that the Lord has many blessings in store for me and I'll be able to claim them as I give Him my all!

Manuel and María's Baptism!

¡Hola!

This week Manuel and María Moreno got baptized! Right now we're working on helping Daniela and her brother Andy prepare to be baptized on March 21st! Their mom lives in the other Elders' area so they're going to see if they can teach and prepare her to be baptized the same day as her kids!

Our mission is working on having more community service with members and missionaries so we can show our love for others, find more people to teach, and dispel false beliefs about the church. The mission created a Facebook page called "Al servicio de los hombres, al servicio de Dios" which has pictures and conversion stories of our converts that we've emailed to Hermana Vasquez and will have our service projects that we do in the future as they're posted. Go check it out and give it a LIKE!!!

How Will YOU Use Your Talents?

¡Hola!

This week we had a ward activity based on the parable of the talents. The previous Bishop gave the message and then we gave everyone "talents" to "buy" what they wanted to. We had lots of food stuff and church materials like Books of Mormon, Liahonas, pamphlets, manuals, etc. With that activity we also wanted to see how many people gave importance to spiritual things and it was great because a lot of people "bought" a lot of the church materials. Everyone, especially our investigators, said it was fun and they can't wait until the next activity!

Manuel and María Moreno are going to be baptized this Friday and this week we were also able to talk to María's granddaughter Daniela and she accepted the invitation to prepare herself to be baptized on March 21! We hope that her younger brother Andy will also accept to be baptized on the 21st too! We just need to keep on working and changing to become more like the Savior and as we do so we will be greatly blessed.

Becoming More Like HIM!

¡Hola!

This week we had an interview for one of our investigators, but she still isn't 100% ready. She wants to be baptized on her birthday February 13th, the same as Heather's! We just have to help her form the habit of prayer and teach more about the Prophet Joseph Smith. Her brother's date is set for this Saturday and we hope that everything goes well. He wants to be baptized, but he's been having some health problems and said that if he feels good he'll be baptized. I'm pretty sure he will because he came to church yesterday. Élder Zuñiga and I have a list of everyone who's been born in the ward and hasn't been baptized yet and this week we're going to start looking for them. It'll be great because chances are that those families are inactive so we'll be able to reactivate and baptize at the same time! I know that the Lord will bless us and help us to become more like Him as we have faith and patience, are obedient, and work diligently.

¡Levántate! ¡Podemos hacerlo ahora!
