Immerse Yourselves In The Scriptures!

¡Hola!

This week has been awesome! Élder Flores and I have been finding lots of prepared people and a lot more of our investigators have baptismal dates and are progressing and keeping their commitments. We're going to have lots of success in the weeks and months to come!

On Friday we had a Multi-Zone meeting with Élder Alonso from the Area Presidency. It was the best Multi-Zone I've had in my mission. He answered questions that we had and we studied and learned about just how much of a similitude Abraham and Isaac's sacrifice was compared to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He exhorted all of us to repent and immerse ourselves in the scriptures and I know what I need to change and do better. I know that as we are exact in all things as he told us to be, we'll be worthy of ALL the blessings that Heavenly Father promises us.

We're Simply The Instruments In HIS Hands To Bring To Pass HIS Work!

¡Hola!

This week has been great. Alberto Callejas got baptized and confirmed yesterday! It really was a miracle that we were able to find and teach him when we did. The missionaries before had taught him and his wife who was then less-active, but he couldn't be baptized because they weren't married. When we found his teaching record in the Area Book and we visited them they told us that they had gotten married a week before! I know that Heavenly Father helped us to find him when he was ready and prepared to receive the Gospel and be baptized and we were simply the instruments in His hands to bring to pass His work. Also, if the other Elders didn't fill out the Area Book we might not have found him.

Ana Gloria is our next possible baptism. It's been a little frustrating because she's been on and off about getting baptized, but if everything turns out the way we hope she'll be baptized this coming Saturday.

We were able to remember what we've already learned but kind of forgotten from the principles in Preach My Gospel in our District Meeting and when we had divisions this week, and since then we've gotten more baptismal dates and we've been finding more and more of the Lord's chosen people. As we continue forward I know we'll see more miracles and baptisms in the future!

God Works In Our Lives According To Our Faith, Obedience And Worthiness.

¡Hola!

This week has been great. At first it was a little disappointing because Ana Gloria said she didn't want anything to do with the church anymore, but my companion and I didn't give up on her and we were able to resolve her doubts. I don't know if that was true about her catholic friends, but she said she didn't want to get baptized in cold water and she didn't want to pay tithing. Luckily for us I have this small water heater thing that'll at least make it so the water's not too cold and we were able to teach her more about tithing and share personal experiences and testimony with her of the blessings that come if we have faith and pay it. We're working with her so she can be baptized this Saturday or Sunday!

Alberto Callejas is super ready and he's going to be baptized this Sunday! Elder Lloyd and Elder Medina had 2 baptisms this past Saturday and they have one more planned for this Saturday! The Lord is blessing us with success for our labors and I know that we can achieve even more as we work with the members.

This week the Stake President's daughter got home from her mission and I know she's going to be a huge help with finding new prepared investigators and encouraging the members to participate.

On Thursday Hermano Batres' son was sick with a fever and an ear infection and was crying. We gave him a blessing because Hermano Batres was working and he immediately got better! After we said "amen" he sprang up and gave his mom a hug and then ran to get all of his toys out to play with us. It strengthened my testimony even more of the power of the Priesthood and the miracles that God works in our lives according to our faith, obedience, and worthiness. Élder Flores got sick yesterday with the Chikunguña and Papi Tin and I gave him a blessing. He's doing a lot better than yesterday, and I know he'll be better soon.

There's a change meeting this week and I hope I don't get changed! There's so much we can still accomplish here!

Be Worthy Of The Blessings HE Has For Us!

¡Hola!

This week has been awesome! On Thursday we had an activity at the Temple and 53 investigators, members, and less-actives from our ward came! Everyone loved it! In the activity they talked about why we have temples and what we do, baptism, auxiliary organizations, the Book of Mormon, family history, and the plan of salvation. I also got to see some people from other areas I've been in, but there wasn't any time to take pictures with all of them.

General Conference was AWESOME! It really helped me learn a lot, answer questions, and see what I need to improve and how to live my life. I know that as we follow their counsel we'll be on the right track that leads to perfection and exaltation and we'll be worthy of the blessings He has for us.

Sadly, Ana Gloria probably isn't going to be baptized this week. One day we went to visit her and she said that she didn't want to be baptized or do anything anymore. She wouldn't tell us why at first, but we knew that someone had told her something that wasn't true. Finally we were able to get it out of her that she was "talking" with some Catholic friends one day, but she wouldn't tell us what they said. We're still going to work with her though and see how we can help her.

The good news is that Alberto Callejas is totally ready for his baptismal date April 19th!
