¡Hola!
This week has been great. At first it was a little disappointing because
Ana Gloria said she didn't want anything to do with the church anymore, but my
companion and I didn't give up on her and we were able to resolve her doubts. I
don't know if that was true about her catholic friends, but she said she didn't
want to get baptized in cold water and she didn't want to pay tithing. Luckily
for us I have this small water heater thing that'll at least make it so the
water's not too cold and we were able to teach her more about tithing and share
personal experiences and testimony with her of the blessings that come if we
have faith and pay it. We're working with her so she can be baptized this
Saturday or Sunday!
Alberto Callejas is super ready and he's going to be
baptized this Sunday! Elder Lloyd and Elder Medina had 2 baptisms this past
Saturday and they have one more planned for this Saturday! The Lord is blessing
us with success for our labors and I know that we can achieve even more as we
work with the members.
This week the Stake President's daughter got home from
her mission and I know she's going to be a huge help with finding new prepared
investigators and encouraging the members to participate.
On Thursday Hermano
Batres' son was sick with a fever and an ear infection and was crying. We gave
him a blessing because Hermano Batres was working and he immediately got better!
After we said "amen" he sprang up and gave his mom a hug and then ran to get all
of his toys out to play with us. It strengthened my testimony even more of the
power of the Priesthood and the miracles that God works in our lives according
to our faith, obedience, and worthiness. Élder Flores got sick yesterday with
the Chikunguña and Papi Tin and I gave him a blessing. He's doing a lot better
than yesterday, and I know he'll be better soon.
There's a change meeting this
week and I hope I don't get changed! There's so much we can still accomplish
here!
¡Levántate! ¡Podemos hacerlo ahora!
Love,
